Understand confidence score
What the score means and when manual review is useful.
Confidence Score indicates how certain a detected or proposed value is from a technical perspective. It does not determine whether the underlying business transaction is tax-correct.
How the score is produced
The score may consider source type, recognition quality, agreement between signals and rule checks. Structured XML fields are often more reliable than unclear OCR text, but their business meaning still needs review.
How to interpret it
High confidence reduces manual effort but does not remove checks for critical fields. Low confidence is a work indicator, not automatically an error.
Practical decision
Prioritise low scores for invoice number, tax ID, IBAN, currency, date and totals. Confirmed or corrected values should appear with user and timestamp in the audit trail.
